Gettin' creative

Awhile back, Brad and I studied The Truth Project (http://www.thetruthproject.org/) with several other couples from our church and the community. It was a deep, intensive study--and I enjoyed it! It is a project so well done, so thorough, that those watching can't help but be touched by some aspect during each lesson.

One lesson focused on creativity. Over and over the Bible tells us that God is creative...He created the heavens and the earth, every living and moving thing. He created us, male and female...

God is creative. (I mean, check out the beauty of this Kansas sunset!) And, because we are created in His image, we are creative, too. The Truth Project even suggested we encourage our children to pursue careers in the arts. What? That's crazy, right? The arts are secular! But the arts have power...movies, songs, paintings, the written word. And it would serve the world well to have artists creating from a God-driven perspective.

I enjoy creating...mostly through crafting Lipstick & Pearls...but I also know a few more tricks of the trade. Over my next few posts, I'm going to share a few fun projects that I've been working on lately...scrapbooking, crocheting, photography...and also some unconventional arts.
