Surgery Monday

It's hard to believe that it's been nearly three weeks since Gracelyn's surgery was postponed. It's also hard to believe how much more at ease I feel. God's grace has been sufficient.

I'm sure that over the next few days, I'll have some stressful moments. But instead of looking ahead in suffocating trepidation, I am anticipating with something akin to excitement.

I am ready for my little girl to feel better. To be able to run more than 10 feet without saying, "Mommy, I'm tired." I'm looking forward to her having rosy cheeks for the first time since she was 4-months-old. I'm looking forward to watching her little body gain weight and inches. And I'm looking forward to what God has for us post-surgery.
