Asking your forgiveness...

Before starting this morning, I want to ask forgiveness. I started this project with anticipation and joy...feeling led to blog each of the 25 days before Christmas about one of God's promises. I was so excited to share the good news. And last night, I wanted to quit.

It seems that each day I have posted, I watch readership dwindle...and being big on words of affirmation, that doesn't work for me.

But then I heard it..."LESS of YOU."

God's word can stand on its own. It has for thousands of years. I don't need to add to it.

I was trying too hard. So I ask you to forgive me...

Day 5: Redemption

"Christ redeemed us from that self-defeating, cursed life by absorbing it completely into himself. Do you remember the Scripture that says, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”? That is what happened when Jesus was nailed to the cross: He became a curse, and at the same time dissolved the curse. And now, because of that, the air is cleared and we can see that Abraham’s blessing is present and available for non-Jews, too. We are all able to receive God’s life, his Spirit, in and with us by believing—just the way Abraham received it." Galatians 3:13-14 (The Message)

Wow. I'm so thankful for Christmas. It begins the way to the cross.

  3. I also have a love-hate relationship with blogging. I love sharing my thoughts & experiences, but I battle within myself if I see that not many people have read my posts. I have to continually remind myself that I write because I want to, regardless of whether anyone reads it. {And for what it's worth, I really enjoy your posts.}
